I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ritz Carlton Waikiki Residence over a holiday break and was fortunate enough to upgraded to aCorner Suite during my visit. I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional! From the awe-inspiring views to the luxurious accommodations and impeccable service, every aspect of this hotel continues to be amazing.

My wife and I tagged team using both our Amex Platinum Cards and their respective $200 hotel credit via Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts. We paid out of pocket in total $2,700,00 after a $400 discount. Since I booked through our FHR program we were entitled to the following benefits:

If I did the math right, we actually end up getting over close to $900 in credits, excluding the room upgrade. So despite paying a bit extra via our Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts portal, all in all - this was already a massive win. And then the upgrade came…
The concierge at the Ritz Carlton Waikiki continues to impress us. As before, they had reached out a few months prior to our check-in, and welcomed us back warmly. A few fun conversations over email, the concierge gave us heads up that we may potentially have an upgrade due to our Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts booking. A few days later, we were kindly upgraded to the Deluxe Ocean View Suite, Corner Room for our weekly stay, which would have costed us a staggering $3,204.00 USD!

Located on the northwestern portion of the Waikiki neighborhood, it is situated on Kalakaua Ave, which runs the vast majority of luxury shops, hotels and other key attractions in the Waikiki district. It’s also quite walkable, despite its distance from the the ocean. A quick 10 minute walk brings you around the vast International Market place, and a few minutes later you can be at Waikiki Beach.
But of course, if you’re staying here - chances are you’re planning on shopping for some luxury brands, and what a variety of selections one will have: Chancel, Gucci, YSL, Christian Dior, Hermes, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, the list goes on and on!

The Ritz Carlton Waikiki Residence Corner Suite is a luxurious and stunning accommodation option for travelers seeking the ultimate in comfort and style during their stay in Hawaii. As soon as you enter the suite, you are greeted with breathtaking panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding Waikiki skyline.
The design and decor of the suite were tastefully done, combining modern elegance with a touch of Hawaiian charm. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the plush furnishings to the carefully selected artwork adorning the walls. The bedroom was a haven of tranquility, featuring a plush king-sized bed and high-quality linens that ensured a restful night's sleep.
One of the highlights of the Corner Suite was the expansive private balcony. It provided the perfect spot to unwind and take in the breathtaking sunsets over the ocean. Whether I was enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning or sipping a glass of wine in the evening, the balcony offered a peaceful retreat from the bustling city below.
The amenities provided by the Ritz Carlton were top-notch. The fully equipped kitchenette was a welcome addition, allowing me to prepare light meals and snacks at my convenience. The marble bathroom was luxurious and well-appointed, featuring a deep soaking tub and a separate rainfall shower. The suite also had a large flat-screen TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a convenient work desk for those needing to catch up on business.

The service at the Ritz Carlton Waikiki Residence was exceptional throughout my stay. The staff was professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, everyone made me feel like a valued guest, and any request or inquiry was promptly addressed.
The Spa | Ritz Carlton Waikiki Residences
This time around, we booked a selection of massages for my wife. A quick level down from the gift shop, you descend into a sanctuary where the attendants were all too excited to show us around. Subtle colors, relaxing background music and the smell of lavenders eagerly greeted us.
Locker rooms are well stocked and contains a sauna and steam room. There is also a relaxation room that one can indulge in before and after their massage.

I absolutely love this hotel in Waikiki - of the hotels that I’ve stayed or researched in Honolulu, I still think the Ritz Carlton provides a sense of a private sort that one can fully relax without the bustling crowds of the Waikiki beachfront.
