Hotel Review: The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong | Club Deluxe Victoria Harbor Room

Introduction | Ritz Carlton Hong Kong

The mind-boggling height of 118 floors makes the place one of the best places to go for the fantastic views of Hong Kong. In addition, the swimming pool is on the highest floor, which in itself is a feat! I was able to exercise at the fitness center as well - the equipments are incredibly up-to-date and valued. Tons of weights, treadmills, TRX bands and even benches (yes!) for us old farts to lift in the morning!

The hotel lobby is actually on the 103rd floor of the ICC building, or the tallest building in Hong Kong. It’s also connected to the Elements Shopping Mall, so getting to/from the airport takes only 20 minutes. Taking a taxi is probably most advantageous during peak hours. The hotel is scented with a bespoke fragrance called Black Orchid, which smells like a million bucks. All the crystals and rich materials simply display opulence and wealth on a whole different level.

Cafe 103 | Ritz carlton Hong KOng

Before heading to the room, we stopped by the famed Café 103 for the afternoon tea. There is no doubt that this afternoon tea exudes ultimate modern luxury. Their signature tea set during this time was Pink - and boy was it instagram worthy on every angle! We had a ton of decadent goodies that overwhelmed us initially. So much food! The tea we chose was incredibly fragrant (Marco Polo and some amazing Rose Tea) and we were given a sparkling non-alcoholic drink to start the meal!

Breathtaking views, decadent food and the service made staying here all the better.

Club Deluxe Victoria Harbor Room

We were assigned the Club Deluxe Victoria Harbor Room, which was located on the 110 floor., which is kind of shocking and hilarious to utter out.

Upon entering, the design is incredibly lavish, with the views showcasing the crown jewel of Hong Kong, the Victoria Harbor. It was lavishly furnished and decorated with an abundance of gold and purple. Such color designs and elements meant that this room was perfect for photoshoots! However, I was still sick and didn’t have much energy to take pictures.

The Club Deluxe room contains a 42 inch TV and a lovely work setup - I was able to get a ton of pictures and videos edited and completed with the huge glass table. A Bose sound system allowed us to play some relaxing songs during our stay, which helped a lot during the nighttime. The view is what most people come here for, and boy, do they NOT disappoint.

This is probably the best hotel in Hong Kong for unparalleled view of the city skyline, and rivals that of the hotels that I’ve stayed at, such as the Park Hyatt Tokyo, Andaz Tokyo, Prince Gallery Kioicho, and the W Taipei.

In addition, there is a Nespresso Machine along with a hot water boiler - we were able to pop out a few cups of coffee in the morning to get us going. The bathroom, this is on a whole other level. The double marble sinks, the massive bathtub for the long, hot water soak, the built-in TV in the walls and the enormous rainfall shower makes every trip to the bathroom so worth it. There’s even a headrest pillow for your weary souls when you take a soak! The bath amenities are one of my favorite brands, as Asprey London is one of the finest scents in the world.

Breakfast | Ritz Carlton Hong Kong

We had breakfast at the Lounge & Bar, which contained the same beautiful views and awe-dropping vantag points. Surprisingly, we didn’t encounter a ton of guests in the morning (although we were there in the weekdays).

The breakfast selection was huge (though not as crazy as the Grand Hyatt Taipei) and we ended up staying there for an hour, just drinking coffee and eating the day away. It’s not cheap for sure, but it’s definitely worth getting up and enjoying the view with the vast selection of food! A hearty selection of asian or western palette are there for your selection, along with a variety of fruits, salads and drinks.

Conclusion | RItz Carlton Hong KOng

The Ritz Carlton, Hong Kong is the most impressive hotel that I’ve ever set foot in. The product itself is a majestic glory and the views are unrivaled. The closest alternative I can think of is the Park Hyatt Tokyo, Conrad Kyoto or the Ritz Carlton, San Francisco in terms of pure opulence. This is the pinnacle of luxury for many travelers wishing to spoil their loved ones with in Hong Kong, and while it’s definitely not cheap at all, one stay and you’ll be convinced that your money was well worth it.

We absolutely loved our stay at this amazing hotel. The staff were 5-star all the way, with so many languages being covered for their guests. This is definitely a hotel you will never forget.
