This will become one of the sought-after hotels in Singapore in a few years - it’s not even well-known to locals, but given its clientele, it’s definitely a hidden gem right now in Orchard, Singapore. Located in the heart of Singapore, Artyzen Singapore offers a blend of contemporary luxury and warm hospitality.

After years of anticipation, Artyzen Singapore has finally opened its doors in Orchard, promising to blend contemporary luxury with distinctly Singaporean elements. I recently spent three nights in their Premier Balcony King room, and I'm excited to share my comprehensive review of this newest addition to Singapore's luxury hotel landscape.

The property balances refined elegance with thoughtful touches that create an inviting atmosphere. Guests can experience upscale amenities and personalized service while enjoying the comfort of a space that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. The hotel's design and ambiance cater to travelers seeking a premium stay experience, whether for a special occasion or a refined urban retreat.

The Artyzen Hospitality Group is an international hotel management company headquartered in Hong Kong whose flagship brands are Artyzen Hotels & Resorts as well as Artyzen Habitat. Artyzen Singapore is notably the first Artyzen property launched outside Greater China. It’s a luxury boutique that really emphasizes the infusion of culture into their designs and motifs.

The hotel's architectural design reflects a thoughtful collaboration between ONG&ONG Pte Ltd and interior design studio Nic Graham & Associates. The property seamlessly integrates Singapore's cultural heritage into its modern aesthetic, featuring digital artwork of traditional shophouses in its elevators by local artist Terence Tan, each with distinct color schemes. Local motifs by Aeropalmics adorn the public spaces, creating a sense of place throughout the property.

While compact in its footprint compared to the 5-star heavyweights of Singapore hotels, this boutique property maximizes vertical space through impressive ceiling heights, architectural arches, and suspended design elements. Outdoor spaces feature prominently in the design, from the ground-level garden terrace to the fifth-floor wellness and fitness center area. Many guest rooms open onto private balconies (mine included), with select accommodations offering expansive terraces that stretch almost an entire floor!

Premier Balcony King | Room 1706

The rooms are here are so gorgeous, it’s now in my top 3 best hotel rooms that I’ve reviewed in a decade. Perched high above the city, the Premier Balcony King room immediately impresses with its thoughtful design. The 45-square-meter space masterfully balances form and function, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the room with natural light.

The color palette draws inspiration from Singapore's tropical setting, with soft neutrals accented by deep emeralds and rich teals. You really feel the size difference with the elevated height of the rooms. In addition, the private balcony – a nice feature in Singapore hotels – offers breathtaking views of Marina Bay and the surrounding cityscape. It's furnished with a comfortable lounge chair and small table, perfect for enjoying morning coffee or evening cocktails while watching the sun paint the sky in brilliant hues.

The thoughtfully appointed room seamlessly blends comfort with modern conveniences. Guests can warm their feet on heated floors while enjoying entertainment on the large 55-inch TV. Morning routines are elevated with a Nespresso machine for coffee enthusiasts, alongside an electric kettle paired with heritage tea sets for those who prefer a traditional brew. The room's amenities extend to practical luxuries like a Dyson hairdryer and a Bluetooth speaker for personal ambiance. The minifridge comes stocked with refreshments, including an innovative selection of ecoSPIRITS - a pioneering low-carbon, low-waste beverage program. For additional convenience, room service is available around the clock through a simple QR code system.

Let’s talk about bed, because it’s the most comfortable thing I’ve ever laid on. The king-sized bed is a sanctuary of comfort, dressed in 400-thread-count linens that feel wonderfully crisp yet soft to the touch. It’s one of the best beds I’ve slept in. Furthermore, the custom-designed headboard, featuring integrated reading lights and USB ports, showcases the hotel's attention to practical luxury. This is already turning out to be an amazing room…and it only gets better.

Bathroom

If I sound like I’m fanboying so hard at this hotel, just wait till you see the bathroom, as it's clearly designed to be a sanctuary rather than just a functional space. Clad in book-matched marble with brass and gold fixtures, it exudes sophisticated elegance. The space unfolds before me like a private spa retreat, with elegant marble surfaces catching the natural light that streams through strategically placed windows. This isn't just a bathroom for the masses – it's a sanctuary designed for relaxation and rejuvenation for the most rewarding of clienteles, and boy, are you in for a treat when you arrive.

The bathroom's layout reveals itself as a masterclass in spatial planning. A generously sized walk-in rainfall shower commands one corner, its glass enclosure maintaining the room's open feel while providing ample space for a refreshing morning routine. The shower's dual fixtures – both rainfall and handheld options – offer versatility for different preferences, while the water pressure proves consistently perfect throughout my stay. Overall, the oversized rainfall shower features both handheld and ceiling-mounted options, with excellent water pressure and intuitive temperature controls. In fact, you can even sit and just shower away, given the vast space in the shower stall.

Bathroom Amenities

Artyzen Singapore has partnered with Haeley Paris to provide an exclusive range of bath products. The collection includes everything from shampoo and conditioner to shower gel and body lotion, each product carrying a sophisticated fragrance that enhances the overall bathing experience. The hand soap and hand cream, also by Haeley Paris, add an extra touch of luxury to even the simplest of routines. It smelled so good that I took the body lotion with me to the office during my trip.

One of the bathroom's lovely inclusions is the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer. As someone who has experienced countless hotel hairdryers of varying quality, finding a Dyson is a genuine pleasure, particularly the female clientele. It comes complete with magnetic attachments and offers the same superior performance you'd expect from this premium brand.

Amenities | Bar, Pool & Fitness Center

The rooftop area on the 22nd floor is undoubtedly the hotel's crown jewel. The infinity pool, while not Olympic-sized, offers a serene environment for both lap swimming and leisurely dips. The temperature-controlled water maintains perfect comfort regardless of Singapore's tropical heat. The adjacent bar area, with its carefully curated cocktail menu, transforms from a sunny daytime retreat to a sophisticated evening venue. I had drinks with a friend during the first day, and it was quite nice with the soothing breeze during sunset.

If you’re in for a swim, the infinity-edge pool stretches across the rooftop, creating a spectacular visual effect where water seems to merge with the Singapore skyline. While not Olympic-sized, the pool's dimensions make it suitable for both leisurely dips and light exercise. The water is meticulously maintained at a comfortable temperature, offering relief from Singapore's tropical climate without being too cool.

Working out is always important, and the fitness center's layout flows naturally between different training zones. The cardio area features the latest equipment, each piece positioned to take advantage of the views or the integrated entertainment systems. During my workouts, I particularly appreciate the spacing between machines – there's room to move comfortably without feeling crowded, even during the busier morning sessions. The strength training area proves to be equally well-thought-out. Free weights, cable machines, and a Smith machine provide enough variety for both basic and advanced training routines. What impresses me most is the quality of the equipment – everything is meticulously maintained.

Breakfast at Café Quenino

Walking into Café Quenino for breakfast, you're immediately struck by the thoughtful design. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light, while the contemporary interior, with its soaring ceilings and modern chandeliers, creates an atmosphere that's both elegant and welcoming. The restaurant seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor seating options, with the latter offering a pleasant alfresco experience on Singapore's less humid mornings.

Breakfast service runs from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, offering ample time for both early risers and those who prefer a leisurely start. It’s relatively quiet, even during the typical weekday breakfast hours. No more than 3-4 couples showed up during each of my breakfast outings. This made the experience with the waiter very unique and felt like it was a home kitchen catered to each particular clientele.

Breakfast at Café Quenino proved to be another massive highlight of my stay. The restaurant, with its soaring ceilings and contemporary design, serves an impressive international breakfast buffet that caters to both Western and Asian palates. The scallion egg pancake is the best choice there, trust me. It’s so good, I had to get it twice. The chili crab omelette was also a star, albeit a bit spicy.

Conclusion

This is easily one of my favorite hotels in Singapore right now. The Artyzen Singapore successfully positions itself as a worthy 5-star luxury contender in Singapore's competitive hotel market. While the property is relatively new, the service culture already demonstrates remarkable polish, with staff showing genuine warmth and anticipating guests' needs with graceful efficiency.

The Premier Balcony King room, starting at SGD 650 per night, represents a great value considering the quiet location, premium amenities, and a level of supreme luxury that is easily priced in the upper bounds of SGD 800 per night. The 45-square-meter Premier Balcony King room immediately impresses with its intelligent space planning. Upon entering, you're greeted by a short hallway that creates a sense of arrival before the room opens up to reveal its full grandeur. The layout cleverly separates the sleeping area from the work and leisure spaces, allowing for distinct zones within the room.
