Hotel Review: Hotel Indigo Kaohsiung Central Park

What a stunning beauty of a hotel!

Kaohsiung is a growing and economic shipping power in Taiwan and has influenced various design elements of this hotel. The huge reception along with various popping elements, such as a purple velvet sofa and a metal fishing net separating the lobby and the cafe are very eye-catching and pleasing to look at. Indeed, the hotel as infused the history of the city with the a modern twist to come up with these beautiful designs.

Hotel Indigo is a fairly new hotel that is built closely to the MRT station. In fact, a simple walk out of the hotel and a click 15 steps brings you close to the entrance of the subway station. In addition, the surrounding area provides great shopping and parks for anyone to explore The hotel is also directly near the Xinjuejiang Shopping District if you’re not interested in the cultural sites. Great good and the Ling Ya Market as well as the Liuhe Night Market are also close by.

This literally is the BIGGEST bathroom I’ve ever been too in Taiwan, nevertheless most hotels I’ve been to! I love the inspirations and design elements of this bathroom - with glass enclosed walk-in showers, waterfall shower heads that literally engulf you in torrents of water, quality bathroom amenities and a fantastic space to get ready, this is quite the place to be. The blue tiles and warm lighting made for a relaxing place to unwind after a full-day of visiting.

We were also given a few drink vouchers during our stay to the rooftop bar, which is one of the best for the views of the city. The bar offers a ton of cocktails, alcohols and virgin drinks. They also provide great selections of food, though we didn’t have time to try them. During our stay, we definitely noticed locals have taken an interest in visiting this place, which is always a great sign.

If I’m ever back in Taiwan again, I would gladly stay here in a heartbeat. Everything about this hotel is easily a 5/5 in my book!
