Hotel Review: Kimpton La Peer

Location | Kimpton La Peer

La Peer is located about an 45 minute drive from LAX with some moderate traffic. Located in the vast lands of West Hollywood, one can easily walk around the famous selections of bars, shops and restaurants. It’s an easy place for people to walk around for some shopping and for hanging out with friends.

Check-IN | Kimpton La Peer

Having checked in after beating the LA traffic, the agent kindly suggested a couple of nice drinks while checking me in. Kimpton La Peer actually provides kombucha and other delectable drinks in the morning, to which I took advantage of. Nothing beats imposter syndrome like a glass cup of kombucha and spritzers in LA! Garrett, the front desk agent was incredibly thorough and made my check-in and stay super fun. Having gotten the room key, I was given a Raid the Bar credit, along with the $30 daily fee, which came with $20 breakfast credit, drinks and a few other goodies.

While valet parking is the only parking one can get at La Peer ($45), the service was incredibly quick for a hotel of this size. Plus, the bellman and valet attendants were super friendly and accommodating.

The courtyard bar next to the pool was a great place to do work or relax during the daytime, and at night this place definitely picks up with various A-listers and celebrities. It’s a perfect spot to cozy up or make your connections with LA superstars!

The Room | Kimpton La Peer

My room was on the third floor overlooking the front of the hotel building. The moment I entered, I knew this place was special. Everything about it screamed excitement and luxury. Massive natural lighting, intricate tile work and the special of expensive fragrance made this place incredibly inviting.

Let’s just get with it - the bed and pillows were one of the most comfortable settings I’ve ever slept in. Period. I was given 6! pillows that felt like it could literally absorb me anytime with its super fine goose down pillows. The room is designed incredibly beautiful and sophisticated with hints of Hollywood vibes. Heck, I even got a golden balloon rabbit right next to my bed!

The layout of the room felt incredibly vast and comfortable, and the AC blew colder than the Arctic. There were tons of USB outlet and chargers everywhere, which helped with the vast amount of gear I bring. I found myself working quietly with the drinks brought by the front desk as a complement to the secret password that Kimpton customers can whisper to them during check-in!

Conclusion | Kimpton La Peer

I loved staying at this hotel. The room was spectacular and the service was impeccable. Everyone at the Kimpton La Peer made my stay an unforgettable one. It was incredibly refreshing and almost a sense of relief from all the other hotel chains I’ve stayed at.

That being said, valet parking isn’t cheap and the daily fee may trigger some people off. However, the amenities at the hotel along with the hotel itself made this place a welcoming hotel to stay, especially for the location this hotel is situated at. This amazing decorated hotel, coupled with 5-star service makes the Kimpton La Peer a no-brainer for those who wish to stay something fancy in West Hollywood!
